U.S. President Barack Obama, basking in an exuberant welcome from Tanzania's streets teeming with well-wishers, today declared a new era in U.S. relations with Africa based on partnership as opposed to charitable aid.

 

 

 

 

"I feel a special connection to this country," Obama said, adding that some of his father's family spent time in Tanzania. "I want to ensure you that love is reciprocated and given back in return."

 

 

'We can't force a solution onto the region,' Obama says in Tanzania on last stop of African tour

 

 

Obama and Kikwete met privately at the Tanzanian State House, an ocean-front government complex that includes the presidential offices. They then held a news conference on the lush grounds outside, with bunting in the colours of the American and Tanzanian flags lining balconies above.

OBAMA'S LIMO: GETS TOW JOB IN ISRAEL....

It's every driver nightmare having the wrong fuel pumped into their car, Obama in his visit to Israel was no exception as his indestructible limousine broke down, and had to get towed in Tel Aviv.One Israeli report claimed the limo driver pumped unleaded into the limo, known as "The Beast," instead of the required diesel fuel -- but the Secret Service isn't confirming.

 

The heavily armored vehicle was spotted on the back of a flatbed after suffering some sort of malfunction ... ahead of the President's arrival in Israel.

Barack Obama was spotted (above) cruising in a different vehicle today.
