''When women move forward, the world moves with them".....
The Goldman Sachs
10,000 Women initiative is a five year campaign to foster greater shared economic growth by providing 10,000 underserved women around the world with business and management education. The initiative is coordinated in local markets by a network of more than 70 academic and NGO partners around the world. It is funded by the Goldman Sachs Foundation.
As part of the 10,000 women initiative, the University of Dar es salaam Business School (UDBS) is running a one-year Advanced Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Business Management (ACEBM) Programme from 2009. The main objective of the programme is to develop critical competencies (knowledge, skills, attitudes and habits) for entrepreneurs and in particular, women entrepreneurs to grow an entrepreneurial business. At the end of the programme scholars are expected to become more entrepreneurial in identifying and exploiting growth opportunities for their businesses and be able to provide effective leadership and strategic direction for a growing business.
