INSIDE OF ME.......

Inside Of Me

 There's something that lives inside of me
Its one thing you can never take,
You can try your hardest
To make that something break.

At times I felt I lost it
At times I felt no hope,
But it was still inside me
Inside of me is home.

See, you can call me names
You can do all you want and more,
But let me tell you this,
On you I've shut the door.

You can't hurt me anymore
Or cause me any pain,
I'm happier in knowing
We'll never cross paths again.

Physical scars have healed now
Its the mental scars that stay,
But i promise I'll overcome them
One day they will wash away.

Its strength I have inside of me
It was hiding all that time,
Its something you can never steal
Its something that is mine.

Im stronger now than I've ever been
And thats a guarantee,
Nice try, but it didnt work,
For that something, still lives inside of me......
